Sodapoppin banned from Twitch

Content:

Chance "Sodapoppin" Morris, this big-shot Twitch streamer, got himself kicked off the platform on April 13, 2022. I don’t think this ban worth his creativity and actions he has done during his live stream. And yep, it was his second time in the naughty corner. Why? Well, he pulled a not-so-smart move during a stream, slapping some blackface makeup on a game character and calling it exactly that - "blackface." He even has done some preps for this move.

At that moment he was experienced enough to assume the consequences he can face after his “stuff”. But maybe he prefers humor or hype more than risk to receive permanent ban on Twitch.

But wait, there's more! Back in July 2020, he had a little run-in with Twitch's rules. He got a quick 24-hour timeout for some spicy VR chat action that was a bit too... revealing, if you catch my drift. But hey, he said sorry, and Twitch was like, "Alright, we'll let it slide this time." His first time ban and apologies were enough at that moment, but not in this “2022 case”.

Is sodapoppin banned?

Sodapoppin is currently banned from the platform. He received this suspension on April 13, 2022, marking his second ban from Twitch. His move was for sure not smart enough, especially considering Twitch's policy in 2022.

But what did sodapoppin get banned for? Twitch hasn't spilled the beans on exactly why they gave Sodapoppin the boot, but everyone's pretty sure it's because of that makeup incident. Stange Twitch policy of unclear bans, that’s doesn't add much transparency btw. The timing's just too perfect, you know? As for Sodapoppin, he's been keeping mum on social media about the whole thing. So, his fans are left scratching their heads, wondering how long he'll be in Twitch jail and what it all means for his streaming career. “Blackface” makeup from the white guy side is too much for Twitch to be soft in it’s violations.

Why was sodapoppin banned from twitch?

Sodapoppin got himself into a bit of a pickle on Twitch. He was messing around in a game, slapping some dark makeup on a character and calling it "blackface." That's a big no-no in Twitch's book, falling under their rules about not being a jerk or saying offensive stuff.

Twitch didn't come out and say exactly why they booted him, but everyone and their dog was talking about it online. Sodapoppin later came clean, saying it was just a goof-up and he felt bad about it. Oops!

Additionally, this time this guy was not apologised much like in first time. The reasons for this can vary from “not exact” ban reason from Twitch side to cancelation culture possibility.

This wasn't his first rodeo with Twitch's ban hammer, though. Back in July 2020, he got a day-long timeout for some risqué VR chat shenanigans. Talk about a streamer who likes to live on the edge!

Some previous Sodapoppin's VRChat stream ban situations.

Sodapoppin's VRChat stream on July 17, 2020, apparently got him in hot water with Twitch. He and his buddy Roflgator were hanging out in this virtual world where the avatars were, let's say, not exactly dressed for a family picnic. We're talking some seriously skimpy outfits here, folks!

That was the time when avatars on Tiwtch were fresh, and some cases were not practiced mush. I mean the cases of bans because of VRChat streams and behaviour in it. But Avatars’ fame grew and every big name in the streaming world tried to stream in this way.

Twitch wasn't too thrilled about this risqué content, and it looks like it went against their rules about sexy stuff and nudity. After getting the boot, Sodapoppin made this apology video where he kinda joked about the whole thing. He was like, "Yeah, those barely-there avatars weren't the best idea." Classic Sodapoppin, right?

He explained that he and Roflgator were just trying to beat the lockdown blues by messing around in VRChat. You know, that place where people can create all sorts of wild stuff and hang out virtually. But Twitch has these rules about not getting too frisky in games, even virtual ones. So yeah, that VRChat stream? Probably what landed him in the timeout corner.

Conclussion

As for 2024 he is not banned, but has reduced frequency of his streams. His last stream as for august 2024 took place only 8 month before on 19th of December. Despite he is not banned his Twitch steams are very rare.
