About StreamersBase

StreamersBase has profiles of streamers and of the official channels of games, esports leagues and events. The site has been online since 2019.

Who runs it

Igor Ananich owns and develops the site and approves every published profile. Ilya Gurkov works on strategy and business development.

Where the data comes from

Followers, channel creation date, language, last game played and suspensions come from the streaming platform and update automatically. We write the biographies, personal details and links to other accounts.

How profiles are written

1. We start with the streamer's own channel, website and verified social accounts, then look for interviews, news, official pages of teams and events, and Wikipedia in every language.

2. We check every claim in a biography against the text of its source. The main statements link to their sources, with an archived copy where possible.

3. The editor approves every new profile and every editorial change before it goes live. The "Profile updated" date under the sources shows the last one.

AI

AI tools help us find sources and create first drafts. No change they make reaches the site until the editor approves it.

What we leave out

We do not publish rumours, home addresses or details about children. Allegations and legal disputes appear only when reputable outlets report them and the editor has reviewed them.

Corrections

If a profile is wrong or out of date, send us the page address and a source through the contact form. Streamers can also ask us to update their profile.

GRADE and likes

GRADE is a profile's popularity on StreamersBase over the last seven days, based on views and new likes. The like rating is the lower bound of the 95% Wilson confidence interval, so a few votes move it much less than a simple share of likes would. The number of votes is shown with it.
