About

Thijs Molendijk, known as Thijs, is a Dutch Hearthstone player who won European titles in 2015 and 2016 and placed third at the 2015 BlizzCon World Championship.[1][2] He began playing trading card games professionally in 2013 and moved into full-time streaming after his two European titles.[2][1] GosuGamers named him Hearthstone Player of the Year in both 2015 and 2016.[1] He added the China versus Europe championship to his tournament wins in 2018.[1] The main prize was an Aston Martin, but he chose the alternative cash award of 186,000 euros.[3]

Tournament play and streaming

In a 2018 Blizzard interview as a G2 Esports player, Molendijk described choosing tournaments around a regular streaming schedule.[4] He stepped away from Hearthstone Grandmasters in 2021, saying he would not try to requalify but still enjoyed competing in other tournaments.[5]

G2 announced his departure in January 2025.[6]
