About
MacieJay makes Rainbow Six Siege videos and livestreams. He received SiegeGG's Year 6 Community Member of the Year award for that work. The outlet praised his creative play and co-streams of the Six Invitational 2022.[1]
He grew up in Queens, New York, where people mispronounced his Polish first name, Maciej, as Macie Jay.[2] After completing a bachelor's degree in biology, he planned to attend veterinary school, but a foot injury kept him at home. He began making Siege videos for discussions on Reddit, then started livestreaming at the request of his YouTube viewers. He dated his streaming debut to 2016. Siege appealed to him because of its emphasis on tactics and strategy, which became the focus of his content.[3]
Horror games and a second channel
In his October 2023 Tubefilter interview, MacieJay said he wanted to play more games beyond Siege and was already streaming horror games. He had also started a second YouTube channel for other playthroughs, particularly horror, and still edited and posted his own content.[3]
