About
Kris Lamberson, known as Swagg, makes Call of Duty videos combining gameplay highlights with advice on weapon setups and commentary on his own play. He founded the Warzone creator group Nuke Squad.[1][2]
Basketball to Call of Duty
Lamberson attended Arizona Christian University on a basketball scholarship. While recovering from a shoulder injury, he began spending more time recording Call of Duty commentary and posting gameplay. He joined FaZe Clan in April 2020.[1]
Nuke Squad and Warzone tournaments
In an April 2022 video, Nuke Squad played in a 40-person lobby of fans, friends and stream snipers, and Swagg chose where everyone would land.[3][4] Swagg, Booya and Biffle won the July 20, 2021 Twitch Rivals Warzone Showdown and its $15,000 first prize.[5] The following month, he hosted a $100,000 Summer Invitational, won by Jukeyz's team.[6]
Platform moves and a cancelled blueprint
In September 2022, he left Twitch for an exclusive YouTube Gaming contract.[2] In July 2023, he said Activision had cancelled plans for a weapon blueprint of his own in Warzone 2 and Modern Warfare 2, amid the controversy over NICKMERCS's cosmetic bundle.[7] He returned to Twitch in September 2024 after the YouTube agreement expired.[8][9]
