DanucD was streaming PUBG full time when Pastaiga interviewed her in January 2021.[1] Her name is Dana Dima Gard, and her channel combines first-person shooters with occasional IRL broadcasts.[2][3]
By then, she had joined Team SoloMid and secured a Logitech sponsorship. She had also received YouTube's Silver Play Button for passing 100,000 subscribers.[1] Samsung had named her among the creators scheduled to broadcast European PUBG qualifiers for its Odyssey League in an announcement published in September 2020.[2]
From university to streaming
She studied International Economic Relations at the University of Latvia and completed a bachelor's degree while working at Evolution Gaming to pay for her studies. She said conventional work had not brought the changes or new experiences she wanted, so she chose to spend her time on gaming.[1]
Her work also includes Beats By DanucD, which she presents as copyright-free music on her Twitch channel.[3]
