Spreen is an Argentine creator who started with Minecraft videos before developing a separate channel for variety content. His real name is Iván Raúl Buhajeruk, and he was born in Santo Tomé, Santa Fe, on October 11, 2000.[1][2]
Beyond Minecraft
His original channel was called SpreenDMC. In a 2022 interview, he explained that a second channel let him try ideas outside Minecraft without the expectations attached to the first. He had studied industrial design and described applying that training to planning videos. Moderators helped prepare Discord activities, while other collaborators worked on events, games and editing.[2]
He moved into his own apartment in Santo Tomé in 2019 to get a better internet connection. In mid-2021 he joined Team Heretics in Buenos Aires and shared its Casa Blanca with Oscu and Brunenger. By the February 2022 interview, that contract had ended.[2]
Platform moves
Spreen was nominated for Content Creator of the Year at The Game Awards in 2023.[3] He began streaming on Kick in September 2024.[4]
