About

Rivers won consecutive Streamer of the Year awards at the Esports Awards in 2023 and 2024.[1][2] She was the first Latin American woman to win the category.[3]

Known as Rivers or Samy Rivers, Samantha Rivera Treviño comes from Monterrey, Mexico.[4][3] She started making gaming content for Facebook and YouTube in 2020.[4] Her Twitch streams include Call of Duty: Warzone and other games.[5]

PIO FC

As president of PIO FC, she became involved in football through the Kings League and Queens League.[4] By May 2025, PIO had beaten Kunitas 6-5 in a Queens League final in Veracruz, Mexico.[6]

Opening Mei Mei

Her Asian fast-food restaurant, Mei Mei, opened in San Pedro Garza García in the Monterrey area in late November 2021. Rivers said she had wanted to open the business before she began streaming. She documented the work on Instagram, showing the premises she had found and the completed renovation.[7]
