About

Jinja is a German VTuber who makes music and streams games using a virtual goat avatar in place of a facecam.^[1]^[2] She also makes short videos and belongs to Lightmotif.^[2]^[1] Her original song "LILITH" is available on her YouTube channel.^[3] She collaborated on a cover with Ken'ichi Rei, who recalled it among his memorable experiences as a VTuber.^[4]

Teaching the VTuber format

Her tutorials helped BlaueKadse get started with VTubing. He had wanted to upload gameplay without showing himself on camera; after finding her tutorials, he decided to try using an avatar.^[5] Jinja also appeared with Eine Lotta and Nayami-C in a SoManyTabs explainer about VTubing, dated June 20, 2022. The programme asked the creators what streaming with an avatar meant to them. They described the digital mask as allowing them to be more themselves than they could without it.^[6]
