About
Rezo is a YouTube creator whose video Die Zerstörung der CDU won the special Grimme Online Award in 2020 for its idea and execution. Released in May 2019, it criticised German party politics and brought his work to the attention of politicians and journalists. The video included a 13-page bibliography; the jury praised the way his presentation worked with the documented sources.[1]
Music, studies and Nindo
He started his YouTube channel with music in 2015 after his band broke up. He had played in bands since he was thirteen, then began recording music on his own. He completed his master's degree in computer science at TU Dortmund the following year and later helped develop the social media statistics platform Nindo, which went online in 2020.[2]
Hobbylos
Rezo started streaming on Twitch in February 2021, and highlights were posted on his Renzo channel.[3] That July, he and Julien Bam launched Hobbylos, a podcast about their lives, current events and online culture.[3][4]
