About

Sapnap is an American Minecraft creator who plays a hunter trying to stop Dream from defeating the Ender Dragon in Minecraft Manhunt.[1][2][3] He also makes Minecraft challenge videos with Dream and GeorgeNotFound, his fellow Dream Team members.[2][3] He uses sapnaplive for relaxed gaming streams.[4][5]

Dream SMP and Banter

He joined the Dream SMP roleplay server in 2020.[3] In September 2021, he and Karl Jacobs launched Banter, an interview podcast whose first guest was MrBeast. Its debut briefly displaced The Joe Rogan Experience at the top of Spotify's podcast chart.[6] GeorgeNotFound joined as a third host in August 2022.[2][3]

NRG and Squid Craft

In October 2022, Sapnap joined NRG as a content creator and co-owner.[7] He won Squid Craft Games 2 in March 2023 after he beat Shadoune in the final for the $100,000 prize. Most competitors in the Minecraft event were Spanish speakers.[8][3]

The Kick deal

In August 2023, he announced that he would stream on Kick.[9] Tubbo and Ranboo criticized the decision, arguing that the platform was unsafe for marginalized members of his audience. Sapnap said he wanted to make Kick more welcoming and contribute to improvements on the platform.[10]
