About

Tarık Çelik, known as tarik, is an American streamer from Brooklyn and a former professional Counter-Strike: Global Offensive player. His teams included Counter Logic Gaming, OpTic Gaming and Cloud9.[1]

Winning the Boston Major

With OpTic, he won ELEAGUE Season 2 in 2016. He joined Cloud9 in 2017 and captained its winning team at the Boston Major in January 2018, North America's first CS:GO Major championship.[1][2][3] HLTV named him the tournament MVP, his first medal from the site.[2]

In an AMA during his CLG career, Çelik said he had attended one semester of college before taking time off to stream. His parents initially opposed the decision, but later supported him and watched his matches.[4]

Valorant broadcasts and events

Sentinels signed him as a content creator in August 2022. He co-streamed Valorant tournaments and added commentary while watching professional matches.[5] He and Ludwig organized the Ludwig x Tarik Invitational, which Riot Games scheduled for January 14 and 15, 2023; the program included professional matches and creator exhibitions.[6][7]
