About

Brian Stern streamed Fortnite as Aircool before turning to IRL broadcasts in 2022.[1] He had played for Team Overtime, which became part of Overtime Gaming in February 2020.[1][2]

Stern told Inven Global in September 2022 that six to eight hours of Fortnite a day had become repetitive and that he had lost interest in competition. He tried Warzone and Apex before getting a streaming backpack that allowed him to broadcast away from his gaming setup. His IRL streams at the time included outings for food and broadcasts from the property he shared with Corinna Kopf.[1]

IRL videos and Fortnite

He credited Arab with encouraging the switch: seeing Arab stop gaming to pursue IRL content made him want to try it himself.[1]

Stern also adapted his IRL broadcasts into YouTube videos and continued to play Fortnite when invited to Twitch Rivals. He said the no-build mode had brought players back to Fortnite and made the game more enjoyable.[1]
