About
Mitch Jones is a streamer whose early broadcasts centered on World of Warcraft player-versus-player combat. He began broadcasting on Justin.tv in 2011. He later added IRL broadcasts and recorded music. His full name is David Mitchell Jones.[1]
Recording If I Could Go Back
Jones began working with producer Kurtis "Kala" Lloyd in early 2021 and announced a break from streaming that April to pursue music.[2][1] His first single, Now That You're Gone, paid tribute to his friend and fellow streamer Byron "Reckful" Bernstein.[2] Lloyd produced the six-track debut EP If I Could Go Back, which was released on July 23, 2021.[1][2] Jones returned to Twitch on the release date to perform its songs live.[1]
His other releases included Broken in 2021 and Darkness, a single with Craig Mabbitt, in 2022.[3]
2019 suspension
Twitch suspended Jones in 2019 after he leaked a private message in which he had used a racial slur. In a 2021 Insider interview, he regretted continuing to perform the immature persona his viewers encouraged.[4]
