About
Ryan Chaplo, known as Chap, is a Fortnite player who played for Team Liquid before joining Cloud9.[1] He won North American Fortnite Skirmish events with Thiefs and 72hrs in 2018.[2][3]
Skirmish wins and FNCS finals
Team Liquid introduced its Fortnite squad in June 2018. Chap played alongside 72hrs, Strafesh0t and POACH.[4] He and Thiefs won the North American tournament on day one of Summer Skirmish week seven that August.[2] By October, Chap and 72hrs had also won week five of the North American Fall Skirmish.[3]
He and 72hrs finished third in Summer Skirmish twice. For FNCS Season X, he joined Vivid and CizLucky in a trio that reached the grand finals and finished two points behind the winners. Cloud9 announced his signing on October 2, 2020; an ESTNN report that month credited him with qualifying for three of five FNCS finals.[1]
Playing for charity
Chap and NFL player Kyle Van Noy placed fifth at the Twitch Rivals Streamer Bowl. Their result allocated $40,000 to charity, and both chose the Van Noy Valor Foundation.[5]
