About
Jahrein is the online name of Ahmet Sonuç, a Turkish streamer, YouTuber and podcaster.[1] He began making Turkish-language gaming videos for YouTube in 2009 while studying biochemistry in Leipzig, Germany.[2] Born in Istanbul on November 29, 1988, he later lived in Germany for several years.[1]
In a 2021 interview, he explained that making videos gave him a way to practise Turkish while living abroad.[2] He speaks Turkish, English and German, and also has some knowledge of Polish.[1] His university studies remained unfinished: he left Germany before graduating and then moved to Poland.[1]
Political interviews
On May 22, 2021, he hosted CHP leader Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu on his broadcast.[3] Their discussion covered education, science and internet access in Turkey.[3][4] DEVA Party leader Ali Babacan joined another broadcast on June 12 that year.[3]
Rekkitz
Sonuç founded Rekkitz in December 2020.[5] The agency pairs brands with influencers and develops marketing campaigns. Gamers make up much of its roster.[5]
