About
Joseph Wohala, known as JoeWo, is a Warzone tournament player who makes YouTube videos that teach viewers how to improve their game.[1][2] He highlights his slide-cancel technique on Twitch.[1][2]
Battle for the Crown
He hosted the $40,000 Battle for the Crown in September 2021 and reached the final with Stukawaki. They finished second to HusKerrs and Newbz.[3] His next events included Caldera of Passion on February 17, 2022: six custom-lobby games with a $25,000 prize pool.[4] Battle for the Crown returned that May with $50,000 spread across three weekly tournaments, each using a different format.[5]
Choosing streaming after college
Wohala began streaming while studying finance at college.[6] He graduated from UNC-Wilmington.[7] In a January 2024 interview, he recalled postponing graduate school to give himself a year to make streaming work. He also described clipping his broadcasts and posting the clips to other platforms, which brought viewers back to his Twitch streams.[6]
