About

Darya Alekseyevna Makarova, the Russian creator known as Dasha Koreyka, first attracted an audience on TikTok in 2020 with a female online character.[1] Her videos drew on BTS fandom, and the Koreyka name was a deliberate alteration of the Russian word for a Korean woman.[1] She used long nails and feminine clothing as part of the character, alongside an exaggerated emotional delivery.[2]

She streams as kareykadasha.[1][3] She attended the Tambov Railway Transport Technical School before transferring to another college, where she graduated.[1]

Streaming from Tambov

After college, Makarova moved to Moscow but returned to Tambov when she could no longer afford to stay in the capital. There she started broadcasting on Twitch and drew viewers from the audience she already had on other platforms. The streams earned enough for another move to Moscow.[1] She also collaborated with Dima Bilan.[2]
