About

ow_esports2 is the secondary channel for Overwatch Esports.[1] The May 2024 announcement for the OWCS Dallas Major designated it for simultaneous English broadcasts of selected matches, including some quarterfinals.[2]

Contenders broadcasts

Under its former name, overwatchcontenders, the channel was listed by Blizzard for North American and European Contenders broadcasts in September 2017.[3] Blizzard also directed viewers there for the Season One playoffs scheduled for October 7 and 8 that year.[4] In 2018, Blizzard named it as the official English broadcast channel for European Contenders and again listed it for the second season.[5][6]
