PlayOverwatch is the official Twitch channel for Blizzard Entertainment's Overwatch, a free-to-play team action game.[1][2]
World Cup and Puppy Rumble
Blizzard designated the channel for English-language broadcasts of the 2017 Overwatch World Cup group stage. Its announcement outlined a competition for 32 national teams. Eight places at BlizzCon were available.[3] PlayOverwatch also hosted the Year of the Dog Puppy Rumble to celebrate Lunar New Year. The broadcast had live commentary and a puppy dressed as Symmetra.[4]
Developer presentations
An Overwatch 2 reveal announcement directed viewers to PlayOverwatch on June 16 and also listed a YouTube broadcast.[5] Blizzard announced an Overwatch Spotlight keynote for February 4, 2026, to preview plans for the game on its official Twitch and YouTube channels.[1]
