About
Daniel Francesca, known as dafran, is a Danish Overwatch streamer who competed for Atlanta Reign in the 2019 Overwatch League. His jersey led league sales during Stage 1, when Atlanta reached the playoffs with a 4-3 record.[1] He retired from the league in March 2019 to join the team's streaming roster and said he preferred streaming to professional play.[2]
Denmark and Selfless Gaming
He represented Denmark at the 2016 Overwatch World Cup and joined Selfless Gaming in 2017.[1]
Blizzard suspended him from Overwatch Contenders that June for griefing, and Selfless removed him from active play. Francesca acknowledged that his actions could hurt his teammates' careers and said he would reform.[3]
A break to learn farming
He paused streaming in June 2020 to learn how to grow fruit and vegetables and took an internship with a farmer. By December, he had announced a return to part-time streaming while setting up his own farm. His plan was to split his time equally between farming and streaming.[4]
