About

Mats Kathage, known as P4wnyhof, is a gaming streamer known for Hearthstone and survival shooters.[1][2] He and Larsen finished second overall at the third PUBG Battlegrounds Allstars event on September 16, 2017.[3]

He started his streaming career at TaKeTV and relaunched his own channel in 2015.[1] He had earned a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering in 2014.[1] SPORT1 reported that he reached the Time-2-Win Cup final and lost to SuperJJ.[1]

Although the community had voted him onto Germany's Hearthstone Global Games team, Blizzard rescinded his and Sintolol's invitations in March 2017 over comments it called inappropriate and unsportsmanlike. P4wnyhof said that he and Sintolol had bantered too much and that one comment had been taken out of context.[4]

Events and broadcasts

By February 2019, he had joined fellow streamer Mantrousse and European Parliament members Tiemo Wölken and Julia Reda to discuss Article 13 while playing Mario Kart 8 Deluxe.[5] He streamed and commentated on PUBG at Samsung's Gamescom booth that year.[6]

By June 2019, he had signed up for a week-long charity campaign organized by StreamElements and Make-A-Wish.[7] Amazon Games later announced him as the host of a stream scheduled for September 27, 2021, for New World's Azoth Tree launch event.[8]
