Leo streamers

A backwards question mark takes shape in Leo's stars. Six of them form the pattern called the Sickle. Regulus, the constellation's brightest star, shines blue-white.

The lion symbol comes from Greek myth. Heracles killed the Nemean lion as his first labor, and Zeus put it in the sky. Astrology assigns the lion to fixed fire under the Sun's rule. The astrological sign of Leo covers July 23 to August 22.

The Leonid meteor shower reaches its peak on November 14 to 15. The shower's radiant lies near Gamma Leonis in the constellation.
