About

The Yogscast is a gaming entertainment company that built its audience with World of Warcraft videos and the Minecraft series Shadow of Israphel.[1] Lewis Brindley and Simon Lane began making videos in 2008; the group became a company in 2011 and is based in Bristol.[1]

Jingle Jam

Lewis and Simon began the annual Jingle Jam fundraiser in 2011 by asking fans to donate to Oxfam. Held from December 1 to 14, it raises money for selected charities through a games collection put together with developers and publishers.[2]

Podcasts and game projects

The company runs the Pickaxe podcast network and supports independent developers through its publishing team, Yogscast Games.[2] The publishing label was established in 2017 and its releases include PlateUp![1] An earlier game project, the crowdfunded Yogventures, had been cancelled by July 2014 after Winterkewl stopped development. Brindley said it had been too ambitious for the developer and offered backers a key for the survival game TUG.[3]
