About

Ethan Nestor, formerly known as CrankGameplays, is a YouTube creator who made Unus Annus with Markiplier.[1][2] They planned it as a one-year project whose videos would be deleted at the end.[2] The pair won the Collaboration category at the 2021 Streamy Awards for Unus Annus.[3][1]

Unus Annus launched in November 2019.[4] They deleted the channel in November 2020 after a final 12-hour livestream.[1]

Making videos

He is originally from Cape Elizabeth, Maine, and started his YouTube channel in 2012.[4][2] He graduated from Cape Elizabeth High School in 2015 and later worked as one of Markiplier's video editors. Around 2018, he left that full-time work to concentrate on his own channel.[5]

In April 2020, he brought his community together to raise more than $150,000 for the HopeFromHome campaign.[4]

Live tour and boxing

He began his first national live tour in March 2022. He described it as a one-man show about his relationship with his audience and the challenges of being a YouTube personality.[5] At Creator Clash 2 in April 2023, he defeated Leonhart by TKO.[6]
