About
Jacksepticeye, whose real name is Seán William McLoughlin, is an Irish gaming creator who began uploading voice impressions to YouTube in December 2012.[1] He grew up in Cloghan, County Offaly, and studied music production before switching to hotel management at Athlone Institute of Technology.[2][1] His YouTube work expanded into comedy, vlogs and live touring; he began producing exclusive Twitch content through a Disney Digital Network deal in 2018.[1]
Acting and other projects
McLoughlin appeared as himself in Free Guy in 2021 and released the documentary How Did We Get Here? in 2022. The documentary used footage from his live tour. He later voiced Punch Up in the 2025 game Dispatch.[1] He also co-founded the clothing brand Cloak with Markiplier in 2018 and launched Top of the Mornin' Coffee in 2020.[1]
Thankmas
His annual Thankmas fundraiser brings creators and viewers together to support charities. The 2024 event raised more than $3.4 million for Crisis Text Line and Samaritans, according to the charity's December 10 report. Participants included Ethan Nestor and Pokimane.[3]
