About

Richard Nelson, known as KingRichard, is a streamer who won Twitch's inaugural Apex Legends contest.[1] He signed an exclusive content agreement with Facebook Gaming by September 2020.[1] He had previously become Team Envy's Fortnite captain in May 2018 and joined NRG Esports that October.

Nelson began streaming in 2014.[1] His early streams and videos focused on The Elder Scrolls Online.

Fortnite and Apex competition

He and GhostDmo topped the North American standings on day two of week six of the 2018 Fortnite Summer Skirmish with a 52-point total. The pair finished twenty points ahead of DisguisedToast1 and NotVivid without winning any of the five matches.[2]

His other games included Overwatch, and his videos aimed to help viewers improve their play.[1]

The Facebook agreement

He was the first streamer represented by Loaded to sign an exclusive content deal with Facebook. Nelson said the arrangement allowed him to livestream on both Facebook Gaming and Instagram Live.[1]
