About

Dmitriy Kuplinov records game playthroughs, including horror games, for his YouTube channel Kuplinov Play.[1] He won Best Gaming YouTuber of 2023 at Cyber Best.[2]

He created the channel in December 2012 and uploaded its first video, a Postal 2 playthrough, in July 2013. It reached one million subscribers in 2015, though YouTube's gold award arrived two years later. The channel passed ten million subscribers in February 2021.[1]

Kuplinov won VideoPeople recognition and two Igromir awards in 2015, followed by the Like for Games award in 2017.[3][1] His VK Play Live channel became the platform's first to reach 100,000 subscribers in May 2023.[1]

Fundraising and support for a developer

A five-hour charity stream raised more than one million rubles for medical workers treating COVID-19 patients. Pravmir reported the donation in June 2020 and said the funds would help buy protective equipment for doctors.[4] Kuplinov later asked viewers to buy Summer of '58 to support its developer, Emika Games, in 2021.[5]
