About
DreadzTV is the streaming name of Andrey Golubev, a former Dota and Dota 2 competitor who also worked on tournament broadcasts.[1][2]
Dota competition
Golubev finished second at the 2009 Alienware Dota League with RoX.KiS, then third at the 2010 World Dota Championship with DTS. His DTS teammates included Dendi.[3] M5's roster for The International 2011 listed him as Dread.[4] He later competed at the Dota 2 Asia Championship with HellRaisers.[3]
The alias came from Warcraft 3: he played the undead faction, favored the Dreadlord hero and initially called himself DreadLord.[5]
Streaming and commentary
He began streaming after finding himself without a team and hoped to combine broadcasts with continued competitive play. He commentated at The International 5 alongside NS and Smile. In an interview with Taverna, he argued that overly formal analyst studios put viewers off.[2]
