About
Xavier Dang, known as mistermv, is a French musician and streamer who specialises in video games and speedrunning. He created the charity speedrunning marathon SpeeDons with Médecins du Monde; its first edition took place in March 2021 after a pandemic postponement.[1] The sixth edition, held from 7 to 10 May 2026, raised €2,344,688 for the charity.[2]
Music and early streams
He began composing music in 1998 and later wrote music for Bokida between 2013 and 2017. In 2020, he composed music for a free downloadable expansion to the rhythm game Old School Musical. He began streaming on eLive and Showprime in 2011, then on Twitch in 2012, and repeatedly organised French-language restreams of Awesome Games Done Quick between 2012 and 2017.[1]
Game of Rôles, Aegis and other projects
In early 2021, he began co-producing and broadcasting FibreTigre's tabletop role-playing show Game of Rôles, in which he also played.[1] He and Clément Viktorovitch were named co-patrons of the 2024 Frames Festival in Avignon.[3][1]
In February 2022, mistermv announced the esports organisation Aegis with fellow founders Shaunz and DFG.[4][1] Aegis announced its closure in December 2025 because it lacked stable funding.[5][1] He established and funded MVS in summer 2026 to compete in Street Fighter League.[1] He is also a co-founder of the creator agency 20ty.[6]
