About
Samuel Étienne succeeded Julien Lepers as host of the France 3 quiz show Questions pour un champion in February 2016.[1] He began his Twitch press review, La matinée est tienne, in December 2020.[1] The daily programme combines newspaper coverage with discussion among viewers; his channel also includes gaming streams.[2]
Étienne graduated from École supérieure de journalisme de Paris in 1994. He presented news bulletins and press reviews on Radio France internationale between 1995 and 1999.[1]
Quiz shows and viewer conversations
At ZEvent 2020, he co-hosted Questions pour un Streamer with Etoiles. La parole est tienne, launched in January 2021, gave his subscribers a chance to speak. François Hollande was his first guest on La rencontre est tienne on 8 March 2021, when Étienne put viewers’ questions to him.[1]
Twitch suspended his channel for three days in November 2021 after he showed a film still containing nudity during a press review. He said the decision lacked discernment.[3]
