About

Tyler Appleby, known as scoped, is a Fortnite controller player who partnered with Tfue in duo tournaments during 2019 and 2020. He joined Team Liquid on April 14, 2021, after competing as a free agent and building an audience on Twitch and YouTube.[1][2]

He began competing around the 2019 Fortnite World Cup, and the duo went on to finish 16th in the FNCS Chapter 2 Season 2 finals. By April 2021, he had also won two Solo Cash Cups.[1]

Earlier that year, he placed third in the Season 5 Week 7 Champion Cash Cup.[2]

Streaming while in school

In Liquid's introduction video, Appleby described doing online high school while streaming and making YouTube videos full time. He said he wanted to make more videos away from gaming and try streams with a face camera.[1]

He traces his interest in games back to playing Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 at six.[3]
