Sweet Anita is an English streamer and YouTuber who combines gaming with conversations about living with Tourette's syndrome.[1][2] She began broadcasting in 2018.[1]
From Overwatch to live conversation
In her 2020 account of her start, Anita said she began streaming to spend time with friends who could not all fit into an Overwatch game.[3] Using push-to-talk in Overwatch helped her interact with other players without her tics interfering.[3] Twitch approved her partnership in October 2018; she announced it the following month.[4] In 2019 she was a finalist for Twitch Streamer of the Year at the Shorty Awards.[2][1]
Tourette's education
Her Just Chatting broadcasts include answering viewers' questions about her life and condition.[2] In her 2020 essay, she described wanting to educate people about the condition and helping fund therapy for people who could not otherwise afford it.[3]
Away from streaming, she says she cares for her mother and rescues wild and domestic animals.[5]
