About
Topias Miikka Taavitsainen, known as Topson, is a Finnish Dota 2 midlaner who won The International with OG in 2018 and 2019.[1]
OG's championship runs
He played for SFT e-sports in 2017 before concentrating on streaming and reaching the top of the European MMR rankings. OG recruited him in June 2018, when he had yet to play a major LAN event.[1][2]
The team qualified for The International 2018 through open qualifiers and beat PSG.LGD in a five-game final. A 3-1 victory over Team Liquid the following year made OG the first team to win consecutive Internationals.[1] At TI9, Topson picked unconventional midlane heroes including Pugna, Monkey King and Zeus, and put aggression ahead of farming.[3]
Away from OG and back
He later played for T1 and Tundra Esports and finished third with Tundra at The International 2024.[1] He retired from competition after the tournament and began military service in Finland in January 2025.[1][4] After playing as a stand-in for LGD at The International 2026, he returned to OG for the 2026-2027 season.[5]
