About
GassyMexican mixes multiplayer games with character voices in his streams. His name is Max Gonzalez, and he is a Twitch Ambassador and member of The Late Shift.[1]
From recorded videos to live streams
Gonzalez recorded gameplay for YouTube while working at Home Depot. By May 2014, he had left his cashier job and was playing games full time. A Los Angeles Times reporter watched him play BattleBlock Theater as he joked with viewers and commented on the game. Gonzalez enjoyed talking to viewers live and could broadcast without the editing his YouTube videos required.[2]
He was part of KBMOD and the Internet Famous, an Extra Life fundraising team of broadcasters and Twitch employees, in 2014.[3] Twitch scheduled him for a Best Fiends Indie Spotlight broadcast in September 2015 and a show-floor stream of The Division at PAX South in January 2016.[4][5]
He also took part in the Voice Acting on Twitch panel at TwitchCon 2016.[6]
