About
Michael Santana, known as Imaqtpie, is an American League of Legends streamer who won Streamer of the Year at the inaugural Esports Awards in 2016.[1][2] He traced the name to his mother calling him cute. After leaving Team Dignitas in 2014, he moved from professional competition to full-time Twitch broadcasting.[1]
Playing for Dignitas
Santana joined Rock Solid as an AD carry in April 2011 after being recruited by William "scarra" Li. Dignitas acquired the roster that September, and the team won IGN ProLeague Season 3 the following month after beating Epik Gamer in the final.[1] In a team interview, Santana described practicing through solo queue and working with support player Patoy on their bottom-lane partnership.[3]
Dignitas qualified for the 2012 League of Legends World Championship after finishing second at the North American regional finals. Santana remained with the team until October 2014, when he stepped away from professional play to focus on streaming.[1]
Streaming and a competitive return
In summer 2017, he returned to competition with Delta Fox alongside scarra, Voyboy, Shiphtur and Dyrus. The roster disbanded after that summer split, and Santana continued his streaming career.[1]
