About
Joni Humaloja, known as JZR, is a Finnish Rocket League content creator and former professional player.[1][2] He was the backup for Flipsid3 Tactics when the team won RLCS Season 2 in December 2016.[3]
Freestyle videos and competition
He began freestyling in Supersonic Acrobatic Rocket Powered Battle Cars, or SARPBC, in 2011. His early montages featured goals scored while spinning through the air.[4] By May 2019, he said he was concentrating on competitive highlights rather than inventing new freestyle tricks.[4]
SK Gaming signed him in 2015, when he competed as JHZER.[5] Dignitas announced him as its substitute for RLCS Season 8 in October 2019.[1] He represented NRG as a streamer from March 2020 to July 2022.
Away from gaming, he served as a Navy Scout during his Finnish military service and studied nanoscience in chemistry at university. In the May 2019 interview, he said he had taken a year away from university to focus on making content.[4]
