About
CBLOL is Brazil's top-level professional League of Legends competition and is owned by Riot Games.[1] This is its official Twitch channel.[2]
From the first championship to franchising
The competition began in 2012 at Brasil Game Show in São Paulo, where vTi Ignis won the first championship. The 2013 finals moved to a standalone event at WTC Golden Hall in the same city.[3] CBLOL adopted a league format in 2015 and began holding weekly studio matches across two annual splits. The first franchised season followed in 2021, and CBLOL Academy was created alongside it.[3]
The 2026 return
Riot introduced the League of the Americas in 2025, then announced that CBLOL and LCS would return as independent leagues in 2026.[4] CBLOL resumed competition in 2026, and Riot added Kick as an official broadcast platform for its second split.[5][6] LOS beat FURIA 3-2 in the second-split final at Arena Carioca 1 in Rio de Janeiro on October 10, 2026. Both teams qualified for Worlds.[6]
Beyond match broadcasts, CBLOL produces Tropas Liberadas, a weekly discussion show with figures from the competitive scene. Its Na Escuta series features players' team communications.[7]
