About
Aleksei Baranov, known as Hard Play, is a streamer who founded the Russian esports organization Hard Legion.[1] He uses hardgamechannel on Twitch.[2] By October 2019, the organization had signed the former DreamEaters roster.[1] Captain Svyatoslav "svyat" Dovbakh said the players chose Hard Legion after discussing its plans with Baranov and the management.[1]
Reaction videos and the move to YouTube
By his February 2021 interview with StreamInside, Baranov had moved his broadcasts from Twitch to YouTube.[3] He described YouTube as his home platform and said he remained on good terms with Twitch staff. Reaction videos were part of his main channel, but he wanted to make room for new formats. He had bought equipment for IRL broadcasts and was planning travel and entertainment videos.[3]
His YouTube channel describes visits to abandoned places and live conversation.[4]
