About
Juan Manuel DeBiedma, known as Hungrybox, is an Argentine-American Super Smash Bros. player and streamer.[1] He won EVO 2016 playing Jigglypuff and was ranked the world's number-one Melee player for three consecutive years through 2019.[2][3] He is one of the historical Five Gods of Melee.[1]
At EVO 2016, he defeated Armada in two consecutive 3-2 sets in the grand final.[1] After he beat mang0 in the Pound 2019 grand final, a spectator threw a dead crab at him and was banned from future Pound events. He angrily addressed the crowd and later apologized on Twitter for losing his temper.[1] He won GENESIS X2 in 2025, his first Melee major title since Riptide in September 2022.[4] He also defeated Wizzrobe in the CEO 2025 grand final.[4] Hungrybox won Riptide 2026, which he described as his fortieth Melee major victory.[5]
