Luan Kovarik, known as JonVlogs, is a creator and entrepreneur who built a career from videos of his daily life while attending high school in the United States.[1][2] He was born in Macae, Brazil.[2] He began filming those videos in 2015.[1] In a 2023 interview, he recalled that a video about travelling to school on a yellow bus brought his channel wider attention.[3]
He completed high school early after taking evening and summer classes. Although he had planned to study medicine, he used the time before university to try making a living from YouTube. He also appeared in the film Juntos e Enrolados.[3]
Hypebud
Kovarik founded the influencer agency Hypebud with Gabriel "SemNick" Moraes, who had filmed and edited his videos. The agency brings creators into campaign planning with brands so they can help develop the advertising content.[1] In October 2023, Jon described plans for Hype for Speed, a motoring event in Piracicaba with Ubisoft that would connect real cars with The Crew Motorfest.[3]
